What is the meaning (purpose) of'pratikramana- प्रतिक्रमण' (heartfelt and sincere apology)?
The actions, endeavors, activities that open ‘absolute
knowledge’, that is (what qualifies as) heartfelt and sincere apology.
This is profoundly true! If it does not help us to progress
spiritually and does not open-out our eternal knowledge, vision, energy and
joy; it cannot be a true apology! Forgiving and apology go hand-in-hand. We
cannot apologize if we are unable to forgive both ways!
